For 70 years, Hema (a Pneumatic Scale Angelus company) is specialist in filling technology for liquid and complex products.

Customer need

For its new generation of rotary weight fillers, HEMA wanted to use a digital load cell with high performances and hygienic design:

  • High accuracy for bottles from 100 gram to 10 kg.
  • High mechanical resistance against lateral forces.
  • Hygienic design for food purposes and use with liquid projections and high temperature wash down.

SCAIME solution

SCAIME proposed DVS, a stainless steel digital load cell dedicated to dosing/filling management. DVS combines high accuracy with EHEDG hygienic certification and IP69K protection level.

Its embedded electronics integrates digital filters dedicated to vibration noise cancellation and filling algorithm optimized for high speed rotary fillers.

  • 1 to 3 B&R PLCs
