Description

For more than 50 years, Fachaux has manufactured and delivered machines dedicated to the fruit-growing industry. Fachaux has been specializing in fruits or vegetables grading machines, from cherry to eggplant while passing by the stone- fruits, melons, etc.

Customer need

The goal of the machine is to automatically sort fruits by weight range. Each fruit is positioned in a cup which slides at high speed on a rail. Without stop, the system needs to accurately weigh the fruit/vegetable and eject it in the requested section.

SCAIME solution

SCAIME provides a solution with Schneider Electric. In this solution, the M238 PLC takes care of general system controlling. eNod3- C takes care of digital filtering and all weighing measurements and calculations.

At the end of the process cycle, eNod3-C sends only the fruit/vegetable weight value to the PLC which ejects it into the requested section.
